Terrain: Trail and open countryside
Teams begin in darkness and make their way through the Exmoor countryside from checkpoint to checkpoint. The course will be self-navigated within the teams. Both the 30 mile and 30 km courses include a supervised river crossing.

There will be some very limited parking available on-site, so teams are encouraged and asked to travel together to reduce the number of cars needing parking.
Finding a minibus or people carrier to get the team to the event would be a good idea.
Accommodation
The organisers suggest that staying nearby on the Saturday night is a good idea. There are accommodation options in the villages of Exford, Simonsbath or Withypool

Friday
20:00 - 22:00 Registration at race control with all team members present
Saturday
03:00 Teams start leaving race control*
18:00 Overall cut-off time
20:00 Evening meal and prizegiving
* Each team will leave race control at 5 minute intervals from 03:00. (Team 1 will depart at 03:00, Team 2 will depart and 03:05 and the last team will depart at 06:15).
Checkpoints
All members of the team will need to be present at each checkpoint for their arrival to be confirmed to race control.
Teams
Teams must be made up of at least 4 people, with the total weight carried by the team average 30lb per person. Not every team member must carry the same amount, you can choose to disperse the weight how you see fit.
Team Class
- Wounded class - for teams with a wounded member
- Insider Class - for teams with local knowledge
- Open Class - for teams not in Insider or Wounded Classes)
Spectator Info
Spectators are welcome to come to support participants and contribute to the excellent event day atmosphere. There will be a paying bar open at the end of the event and non-competitors can join in the evening meal for a cost of £20 per person.

Will there be parking at the Exmoor 30:30?
There will be some extremely limited parking available. It is asked that teams arrive together in one vehicle to reduce the stress on the car park.
How will I nagivate the Exmoor 30:30?
This will be a self navigated event with teams using maps and compasses to get from checkpoint to checkpoint.
Do all team members have to carry 30lbs during the Exmoor 30:30?
No, teams must carry an average weight of 30lbs per team member, but can distribute it amongst themselves so not everyone carries the same.
