Exmouth Triathlon routes

Redesigned Transition area. The finish line will be in front of the grand stand which is better for spectators. Bike Out / Bike In have been completely separate from Swim In & Run Out/In to avoid congestion.

The 20K out and back bike route starts from the rugby club along the sea front before heading up Maer Lane towards Woodbury Common. Minor route changes as of May 15.

The run route uses the river path. Great views, traffic free & flat! The turn for the 5K is just at the end of the wooden board section. The Go Tri Turn is at 1.25K next to the water station.

Out and bike Go Tri bike course which starts along the sea front before climbing gently up towards Woodbury Common and returning. Turn is just past the farm on the left in the layby.

Kit List
HOW FIT DO I NEED TO BE & WHAT ABOUT EXPENSIVE KIT?
A swimming costume, any road worthy bike, a helmet and a pair of trainers and you are ready to take part. Front crawl or breaststroke, all in one go or stop after every length, it’s your choice. Swimmers are grouped by ability so it’s fun for everyone. We also have a Go Tri category aimed at beginners.
Volunteers
To run our events we need marshals. Ask any event organiser and most will say finding enough is an ongoing struggle. So put something back into the sport you love by helping at one of our events. It’s generally a fun morning (or afternoon) and competitors always appreciate support from the team of marshals. And as an extra incentive we’re happy to pay £20 expenses (or give you free entry to a future event) for anyone who helps out for 2-4 hours. Or we’ll pay up to £60 for anyone able to help for the whole day.

And if you’ve already entered but are injured we’ll defer your place FREE if you volunteer to marshal & pay you £20 expenses.

Just call or text us on 07866 567 894 or fill in the form at https://sportivaevents.co.uk/volunteer-help-marshall/. We’ll add you to our Volunteers list and get in touch a couple of weeks before our next event.
FAQs
Is the event affiliated with British Triathlon and do I need a day membership?
All our triathlons are British Triathon affiliated and listed on britishtriathlon.org/. If you do not have annual membership you will need to buy a day membership to take part (£4 in advance, £5 on the day or £1 if you are aged under 20 on 31st December of the year of competition. The exception is our GO TRI /Beginners events which do not require a day membership. To keep entry costs down our Duathlons are not British Triathlon affiliated which means you do not need to purchase a day license to take part. However we do run the duathlons under British Triathlon rules.

Prizes
As a minimum we have prizes for both men and women for Top 3 overall, Top 3 Vet 40 & Top 3 Vet 50 and 1st Vet 60 in the main race. We also have special medals for all Tristar and GoTri categories. Depending on entry numbers we will also have awards for Juniors, Vet 60 podium and for Top 3 Seniors.

The organisers reserve the right to reduce or exclude prizes if there are insufficient entries in a particular category
There is a one prize per person rule so if the first overall finisher is a vet he/she will only receive the overall prize and the 1st vet prize will go to the first eligible vet. We aim to publish a list of prizes before the start of each race.
