A challenging run with a first half containing plenty of undulating terrain, followed by more pleasant elevation and one last big hill to the finish.

Hard race due to the elevation in the first 5 miles but very satisfying.  Great tshirt, well organised.

Its a tough course, so will find you out if not up to the challenge.I started near the front so disntbcause me a problem, but I would suggest a louder start than just @ReDy go!.Great T shirt again, but again in my opinion Id go short sleeve 

2nd time racing ferriby! 2nd amazing quality race top I own :-). The downhill section most definitely makes up for the uphill climb of the 1st 5 miles! As long as you can run downhill well you are on for a great time. Well organised event. Sure I'll be back in 2019! Thanks

Bit scary with the amount of passing traffic and the speed they were going. I thought the road would have been closed. First time Ive done Ferriby 10 and on the whole I enjoyed it.

Really enjoyed this race, this is my second year running it and have no complaints. The t shirt is always a good design too and it's nice to have a long sleeved one for a change 

Great event to start the year. Well organised and supported around the route. Undulating start, good last five miles, can be open to the elements in bad weather.

Loved my 1st 10 miler. Something Id never considered before. Will definitely do another one this season and be back to do Ferriby again

Very tough up and down course with a strong wind which didn't help!!! Will definitely be back next year 

3rd year running for me at ferriby, first 5 miles has quite a few hills & it fairly tough, but once you get to 5 miles, the next 4.5 miles are lovely, lots of downhill, flat bits & fast. The hill at the end for the last 1/2 mile is erm character building but knowing the finish is at the top gives you that bit extra to get up it. Love this race, race tops are lovely, would just have liked a bit of food st the end to make it perfect 

Great route, would have liked more water in the first (hilly!) half. 1 stop not enough for 10 miles. There's usually two on 10ks.Couldn't hear the gun at the start, didn't realise it had even started until we started moving. Lots of lovely cheery marshalls all the way round. Great support. Cars could have been a problem as some of the roads were not shut. 

Brilliant race, so we'll organised and friendly marshals.

First time for this Race. Would recommend to anyone who is not afraid of "inclines".

Second year running this event and I thoroughly enjoyed it again. A challenging undulating first half knowing theres the downhill to follow with a hill to finish on. Great event and well organised. My only criticism would be the t-shirt sizings. Snug to say the least.

This is my fav race close to my birthday so try and get a place every year also my PB course as Im a lover of hills 

First 10 mile race and really enjoyed it. Heavy going initially up all the hills but second half made up for it. Friendly atmosphere and really well organised.

First Ferriby 10 and only second 10 mile race first was York last August. I had been told first half up hill but second half down which I should enjoy before the tough finish. I didnt expect to like the first half at all but it was fantastic. Ferriby completed on my own and no walking think Im still on cloud 9, days after. Even kind of liked the last hill . Great long sleeved tech top waiting at the finish.,Well done Ferriby race crew I will be back. X

Race volunteers are great.Course is varied and challenging - especially the last up hill climb to the finish!Done this race twice now and will definitely be signing up again next year.

First time i ran it and really enjoyed it. The course was well marshalled apart from one place. On the road pass rowley the traffic coming behind on two occasions was to close for comfort and i have to say dangerous for me and the runner i was with. Apart from that a wonderful event . Thanks very much 

Really enjoy this race, keeps me ticking over through Xmas/new year avoiding the numerous temptations to put the running shoes into hibernation.Nice T-shirt this year also 

The first 4 miles were soooooop hard uphill into the wind, then it was fly the rest. Except for the last hill. Got inside 10 min/miles so was very pleased.

Really good day plenty of parking well organised and marshalled where necessary. Great route

I enjoyed the race, the marshals and other officials were all great... at the school, at the start, and at the finish, as well as on the course. And it's a really nice, good-quality t-shirt. But here's my problem, Alex: I'm a 70-year-old female, and the results are only geared for up to 55-year-olds. This anomaly is compounded by the fact that the guys' results go up to 60. Now, we all pay the same entrance fee, and we all like to see how we stack up against people our own age, so I think it would be nice if next year you have a word with Sports Timing Solutions and ask them to provide results appropriate to every entrant, i.e., to not stop at 55, 60, 70, or even 80 or older, if necessary.

Fantastic very challenging but awesome run

Well planned and organised race. Great route that you know will be tough when the word hilly is used rather than undulating. Good section of the roads were closed off until the field began to spread out. Would definately do this again.

This is the 5th or 6th time I have completed this event. Good well organised event.

First time Ive done this race, very challenging but also very satisfying. Achieved my best 10 mile and 15k. Great to run it with so many friends.

This was my first time at this course it was very challenging but beautiful scenery, very well organised and a great atmospher. The first 5 miles is undulating  but once past the water station it's mostly down hill and you can let your legs stretch before finishing off with another hill right at the end.  Will be back next year.

Great race challenging course but very enjoyable my 3rd year and will be back again 

Great event, undulating course, highly recommended. Well organised, friendly folks and good quality tech tee at the end. Thanks guys! Will be back next year (with more training so that my legs dont hate me quite so much!)

Great race. Smoothly organised with  lots of encouragement from Marshalls & spectators. Would have appreciated 2 water stations 3 & 7 mile.. Im sure I will be back next year!

Signed up for Ferriby 10 miler last year and was then told its 5 miles up hill and then 5 down. I dont particularly like Hills either up or down and usually give in and walk the up hills!  I managed to run up them all even the one that went up to the finish and got a PB!  Well organised  and great support from the marshals on route 

Loved it! Tough first half with a chance to open up on the return if you've saved enough energy. 

Yet again another great Ferriby 10 race. Well organised. Brilliant marshals around the course. Chip timed. Easy parking. Brilliant to get a long sleeved top at the finish. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Would love to do it again - this must have been my 4th time at running it.

Even with the alcohol the night before it was a great race. Very challenging course with the first 5 miles, but a fantastic route none the less.

Start was a bit poor only knew we were off as people in front started running, drinks station at finish was a bit chaotic only one poor guy trying to pour cups of water on his own and it caused a huge cue of thirsty runners waiting for 1 cup of water, it really needed 2 or 3 people to help with drinks. The course was great though and I would run it again. 

Excellent well run event. I've done this event 5 times now. The course is challenging, but its the best event to kick start the season

Thoroughly enjoyed a challenging 10 miles. Very well organised and cheap.

Great course...challenging first half up hill allowed for an enjoyable and strong second half to the race all the way back down!!  The added sting in the tail as you climb to the finish line is cruel but makes sure the finish line photos are memorable!! A few more toilets would be useful or signs to others accessible in the school. 

It was a great race. First time Ive run it and I really enjoyed it.

A really testing course. 5 Miles up hill to start with and an uphill finish. 

I always enjoy this race. Very challenging but a great start to my new running season

This was my third time of running this race and was definitely my best experience yet.  A very well organised event with ample parking and facilities at Race HQ. After a brisk walk to the start line we all lined up and were set off bang on 10am. The first 5 miles of this course are fairly undulating, this was made even more interesting as there was a fairly strong headwind for this part of the course, though compared to the normal weather conditions for this race(i.e. rain, snow, ice) the conditions were great. Once I got to the water stop at the 5 mile mark I was greeted by a nice long stretch of mainly flat roads with a good backwind to push me along until the dreaded finish up Skidby Mill Hill. The support from both the marshalls and spectators over the whole course was amazing, special thanks to the marshall's for being so encouraging/supportive to everyone. At the finish I received a great long sleeve technical top which will be superb for winter training as well as a warm welcome home from both the event staff and fellow runners. Definitely recommend this race and can see why it sells out each year.

Although not fully fit I really enjoyed this race. The first 5 miles of hills was tough made even harder by a strong head wind. However having been informed by fellow runners it was down hill after 5 miles I hung in and then gained time on the fast downhill section. Half mile hill at the end made the experience of my first Ferriby 10 even more memorable. Pain is good for the sole and if it was easy everyone would do it 

Fourth consecutive year I have run this so I think that speaks for itself. I love that there are toilet facilities plus somewhere to get a pre race coffee. I'm one of the slower runners (despite knocking seven minutes off last years time), and it's lovely all the support given when I'm trudging up that last hill. And the shirts are always fab.
