AN EXPERIENCE YOU'LL NEVER FORGET
We are MacTuff; 'The Winter MacTuff' is Scotland’s toughest obstacle course race and arguably the toughest in the UK, held annually at Knockhill Racing Circuit. This is the ancestral home and traditional New Year date for the original MacTuff. THE bucket list obstacle course challenge in the UK.
A choice of distances to suit you: The ‘classic’ MacTuff 7K, 15K or 21K distances.
MacTuff New Year takes place over challenging terrain; through mud, water and obstacles. Its cold and through various parts of the course you will be in cold water (Its January in Scotland don't you know). Its built to test your physical strength and your mental grit because we believe that true character is built through true challenge. This challenge is for anyone who has ever wanted to push themselves. It is for the thrill seekers, the renegades, the adventurers. MacTuff is for anyone looking to discover what exactly they are made of. Come to the home of MacTuff and the experience where nature clashes with the will to succeed and overcome.
Can you do it? We have participants of all shapes, sizes and ages participate. This is not about physical ability. This is about your will to continue in the face of adversity.
Be there for the starting call, be rallied by the Dunfermline Pipers. Be physically and mentally strong and succeed in the battle against the event.

Age Requirements
All participants must be 17 years old to take part.
Team Entry
It is possible to enter a team into this event. You will have the option to join or create a team in the checkout process.
Kit
We recommend performance fabrics that dry quickly and do not typically absorb water. Do NOT wear cotton as it absorbs water. Wear old trainers and make sure they are fastened tightly as in places you will be subjected to heavy mud which can remove them. Gloves can help you with grip with certain areas of the course and obstacles, even when they become wet.
Participants should bring old towels to dry off with, a change of dry clothes and shoes to wear after the race. There is cold water rinsing available after the event, but no showers. Bringing large bottles of water can also help for rinsing of hair, hands etc.

Spectator Info
