This event starts with a rocket and swimmers can race, or leisurely complete one lap (500m) of the quarry. This should be long enough for you to experience the beauty of night swimming in safe secure surroundings. You will be issued with glow sticks one for your wetsuit and one for your goggle strap.

The minimum age for competitors is 14 on the day of the event.

Kit List

All competitors must wear a wetsuit for the event. Wetsuit Hire is available for £10, if you do need one for the event, please email [email protected] Shortie type wetsuits are allowed if you are an experienced swimmer, but we recommend full length arms and legs due to the cold temperatures. We would also recommend neoprene hats, socks and gloves.

    It wasn't well lit enough. I'm doing it again this year and really hoping they have improved the lighting!They also ran about an hour late due to parking issues as they clearly sold too many tickets.
