Route information
This summertime triathlon is based at the stunning setting of Dorney Lake, the former Olympic rowing venue. Offering both sprint and super sprint disciplines, participants will swim in the clear waters of the lake and bike and run on fast, flat closed roads around its waters. The bike portion of the race will be 4 laps of the lake, and the run leg will be 2 out-and-back runs.
The supersprint race will entail a 400m swim, followed by a 20k bike section and then finishing off with a 5k run.
The sprint event will consist of a 750m swim, followed by a 20k bike section and then a 5k run.

Parking
Parking for triathletes is the main carparking by the clubhouse. This is to the left when you get to the end of the lake.
Train
If you are travelling by train the main stations for Dorney Lake are Slough (Paddington line) and Windsor & Eton Riverside (from Waterloo) but it's also near Burnham, Taplow, Maidenhead and Windsor & Eton Central (branch of Paddington line).
From these stations you can get a taxi or if with a bike you can ride to the venue.

Start Times
The race will start at 10:15am, setting groups off in five minute wave intervals. You will receive details of your wave group and time in an email prior to the event.
Race Packs
Race packs must be collected from registration on the day of the event before the start of the race. Please arrive with plenty of time to register, attach your race numbers and warm up.
Wetsuits
Under current British Triathlon Federation rules, the following temperatures are enforced for events to ensure the best safety for swimmers:
  • Swim length: up to 1,500m
  • Wetsuit forbidden above: 22°C
  • Wetsuit mandatory below: 14°C
Tri suits, swimming trunks etc. are fine. If wetsuits are banned then competitors are OK to swim without tops on, so bare torsos are permitted, but only for the swim leg. Sports bras are fine, but again, athletes must cover up for the rest of the race.
Please note an updated water temperature reading will be provided in the lead-up to the event.
Bikes
All bikes must be racked by 09:40. You can leave your race gear in the transition area. Please note that only those taking part are allowed in to transition.
Helmet
Wearing a helmet is mandatory for the bike portion for the race.
BTF Licence
If you are BTF affiliated, please remember to bring your licence with you on the day. If you are not BTF affiliated, you must purchase a day licence.

Can I register for the FixAddiction Triathlon on the day of the event?
On-the-day registration is subject to availability. Please refer to the website on the days leading up to the race to see if it is sold out.

When do I receive my race pack for the FixAddiction Triathlon?
Race numbers and details will be emailed to entrants. However, race packs themselves must be collected on the day of the event.

Can I enter the FixAddiction Triathlon if I am not BTF registered?
All those who are not BTF registered will have to pay an additional levy at registration. If you are registered please remember to bring your licence on race day.

Do I have to wear a wetsuit for the FixAddiction Triathlon?
If the temperature is between 14 - 22 degrees Celsius, then trisuits, swimming trunks etc are fine. If wetsuits are banned (above 22) then competitors are ok to swim without tops on, so bare torsos are permitted, but only for the swim leg. Sports bras are fine, but again, athletes must cover up for the rest of the race.
