Route information
This triathlon consists of a 400m swim, 20k cycle, and 5k run.
Participants will race around flat closed roads and swim in the clean calm waters of Dorney Lake, one of Team GB's most successful Olympic venues.
The bike portion of the race will include completing 4 laps, making up 20k. Finally, the run leg will consist of two out and back runs to make 5k.

How to get there

Parking is available in the main carpark to the left of the clubhouse and this is free. (Ignore the parking meters as there is no charge on event day.)
The road will be closed at 9.15am. Anyone arriving after this time will have to park in the middle car park and walk down.
By Train
If you are travelling by train the main stations for Dorney Lake are Slough (Paddington line) and Windsor & Eton Riverside (from Waterloo) but it's also near Burnham, Taplow, Maidenhead and Windsor & Eton Central (branch of Paddington line).
From these stations you can get a taxi or if with a bike you can ride to the venue.

Start Times
The race will start at 10am, setting groups off in five minute wave intervals. You will receive details of your wave group and time in an email prior to the event.
Race Packs
Race packs must be collected from registration on the day of the event before the start of the race. Please arrive with plenty of time to register, attach your race numbers and warm up.
BTF Licence
If you are BTF affiliated, please remember to bring your licence with you on the day. If you are not BTF affiliated, you must purchase a day licence on the day at registration.

The Fix Events
Fix Events have over a decades worth of experience within the endurance events space, and organise over 70 events per year, varying from running to triathlons to charity events. Their events are well-known for their friendly atmosphere, which makes them great for participants of all abilities and they’re also hosted throughout all of the UK’s major cities - making them easily accessible to everyone. On top of their staple events calendar, the Fix have partnered with charities such as the Movember Foundation, where they delivered over 20 MoRuns throughout the month to thousands of runners.
Kit List
Wetsuits
Under current British Triathlon Federation rules, the following temperatures are enforced for events to ensure the best safety for swimmers:
Swim Length: Up to 1,500m
Wetsuit Forbidden Above: 22°C
Wetsuit Mandatory Below: 14°C
Wetsuit Forbidden Above: 22°C
Wetsuit Mandatory Below: 14°C
Tri suits, swimming trunks etc. are fine. If wetsuits are banned then competitors are OK to swim without tops on, so bare torsos are permitted, but only for the swim leg. Sports bras are fine, but again, athletes must cover up for the rest of the race.
Please note an updated water temperature reading will be provided in the lead-up to the event.
Bikes
All bikes must be racked by 9.40am. You can leave your race gear in the transition area. Please note that only those taking part are allowed in to transition.
Helmet
Wearing a helmet is mandatory for the bike portion for the race.
FAQs
Can I register for the FixAddiction Triathlon on the day of the event?
On-the-day registration is subject to availability. Please refer to the website on the days leading up to the race to see if it is sold out.
When do I receive my race pack for the FixAddiction Triathlon?
Race numbers and details will be emailed to entrants. However, race packs themselves must be collected on the day of the event.
Can I enter the FixAddiction Triathlon if I am not BTF registered?
All those who are not BTF registered will have to pay an additional £5 at registration on the day. If you are registered please remember to bring your licence on race day.
Do I have to wear a wetsuit for the FixAddiction Triathlon?
If the temperature is between 14 - 22 degrees Celsius, then trisuits, swimming trunks etc are fine. If wetsuits are banned (above 22) then competitors are ok to swim without tops on, so bare torsos are permitted, but only for the swim leg. Sports bras are fine, but again, athletes must cover up for the rest of the race.
