The main course continues through the town of Alcester settled first in Roman times, but later chosen by the Marquis of Hertford who built "Ragley Hall" there as the family seat.
The way then skirts Oversley Wood and several more thatched hamlets before arriving at Aston Cantlow. A sharp left turn and in about a mile and a half we rejoin the short route through the swathes of newly planted trees.

Get full directionsThe nearest train station is in Henley in Arden. Trains leave New Street every 30 mins on a Saturday - allow a 10 minute walk from the station. Note the first train arrives at 0806 so please use the train and save the environment and our parking space. Henley is also served by several buses from Birmingham and Solihull.
We're facing a real problem with car parking space and so need to keep the number of cars to a minimum.
As an incentive we'll plant an extra tree for every person using the "GoCarShare" scheme to get to the Forest Marathon.
