The Forest of Light Run course will kick-off from the main event field at Moors Valley, before taking runners along the wide, tree-lined fire lanes within the forest. For the race, the course will have been turned into an enchanted forest with an epic lighting display. Bright lights will illuminate the incredible forest features as well as some zones being left dark creating a thrilling experience.
The course itself is a well-marked and marshalled 2.5k trail loop with a variety of terrain and a water station at the start/finish line. Runners are aiming to complete as many laps as they can within 2 hours and you must have started your final lap before the 2 hours ends at 21:45.
Please note, you can stop whenever you like during the race and do not have to run continuously. Prizes will be awarded to the males and females, over and under 16, who complete the most laps, but anyone completing 1 lap or more will receive a medal.

Registration will take place at the far end of High Lodge's main event field. You will receive your race number and timing tag when you register.
Your race number must be visible on your front at all times and you must bring your own safety pins. Your timing tag must be attached to your shoelaces using the ties provided.
The race is only available to runners 6 years and older on the day of the race. Any runners under the age of 16 on race day can select Junior Entry for a reduced cost.
There will be a key drop at registration. Your car should be parked nearby, and you are requested to leave your bags in your car. If you have nowhere else to leave your bag it can be left at the Key Drop.
All runners must bring a head torch to help them through the dark sections.
Spectators are more than encouraged to come along and join in the post-race celebrations of food, drink, music, and a light party.

Do I have to continually run for 2 hours at the Forest of Light Run - Moors Valley?
No, runners can stop at anytime during the 2 hour time slot. There are prizes available for male and female runners, over and under 16, who complete the most amount of laps. But anyone who completes at least 1 lap will receive a medal.
Is there a bag drop available at the Forest of Light Run - Moors Valley?
There will be a key drop available at registration and all bags should be left in cars. If you have nowhere to store your bag then it can be left at the key drop area.
Where can I access results for the Forest of Light Run - Moors Valley?
All results from the Forest of Light Run - Moors Valley will be uploaded to www.chiptiminguk.co.uk on the day after the event.
When do I receive my race number for the Forest of Light Run - Moors Valley?
You will receive your race number and timing chip on race day when you register.
