Route information
The Tahoe 100k is a point-to-point race along the Tahoe Rim Trail and Basin. The course will take entrants along the East side of Lake Tahoe along the Rim Trail, through mountains with fantastic views of Lake Tahoe, the Sierra Nevada. This course is mainly single track with smooth/dry soil with lots of granite rocks.

Buses
Buses will begin boarding at 4:30am and will leave for the start line at 5am sharp.
Parking
Parking will be available at Sierra at Tahoe Resort in Twin Bridges, CA. Address: 1111 Sierra Tahoe Rd, Twin Bridges, CA 95735.

Drop Bags
You may leave drop bags at the start (Spooner summit) or at Sierra at Tahoe (where you catch the bus for the start).
Drop bags will be only available at the Heavenly Resort (20.4 miles).
Aid Stations
There will be standard ultra running fare including energy gels, fruit, candy, sandwiches, wraps. There will also be vegetarian and vegan options. From 5pm onwards there will be soup and other hot food. Tailwind will be the drink of choice as well as soda, water and other drinks.
Crew and pacing
Your crew may only meet you at the following checkpoints:
  • Heavenly Resort (20.4 miles) Access via paved roads
  • Housewife Hill (53 miles) Access via paved roads
  • Finish, Sierra at Tahoe Resort (60.6 miles)
Rules
  • Runners must carry a working headlamp from the start
  • Follow the Leave No Trace Principles
  • You must carry your own gear
  • No pacers are allowed
  • You must check-in at each aid station, if you're times are missing at an aid station you could be disqualified
  • Runners must follow the assigned course
  • Runners are required to carry additional calories and water
  • No Intravenous fluids (IVs) during the event
  • If runners requires Search and Rescue assistance or IVs during the event they are automatically disqualified
  • No performance-enhancing drugs
  • All participants must complete the course on foot, no motorized vehicles, bikes or other aid are not allowed
  • Runners are responsible of making sure their crew understand all the rules
  • You must be polite and kind to race staff and volunteers, rude and whiney runners may be disqualified
  • IF you leave the course at any time you must start back where you left off within the cut-off times

The Sierra Nevada mountains can be hit with unexpected intense rain, snow, and wind storms, be prepared. There has been snow and hail storms during the event before.
