First half marathon. Really enjoyed it. For a great cause.

Great course for my 1st ever half marathon, there was one very small stretch along canal that ground was very uneven due to tree roots but overall a great experience.

Road discipline a bit inconsistent
Did the race in 2022
Where to start? The roadworks with the lorry moving along the course. The spectators dog I nearly tripped over. One lap the marshall directing thousands of us to use the road on lap one and on lap two the road being open and traffic on it. On the subject of marshalls, one of them shouting for and high fiving all the pretty ladies and ignoring the blokes - yeah I noticed the slightly suspect behaviour and so did everyone else. The out and back course with no segregation between the two directions. Rowing clubs leaving parked cars and boat trailers hanging onto the course. I shudder to think how little organisation with other organisations and went on before. Park runs are better organised. The finish being clogged up with those just finished while half marathon runners coming past. The tree roots along the Riverside path - some of them wouldn't have been out of place on a trail run. Two minutes before the start people asking which way we were going. Side note the course map was useless. Oh and at the end the burst bottles of water which ended up down me and drenching my phone which I had to use to scan the QR code which didn't even work the first time. Then the sweeties at the end with snotty kids spreading their germs... just take a handful... no thanks. To sum up, I won't do MoRun again. Didn't appear to be organised, dodgy marshaling, crap route and I've had more fun out myself on a training run.

I loved it ❤️

I would suggest you think about separating the course a bit better so that runners of different distances are not in each other's way
