Terrain: Towpath, Road, Pavement, Grass
This beautiful course begins at Gloucester Park and sweeps runners out of these beautiful green surroundings into the center of Gloucester City.
Participants will speed past the Gloucester Museum and take in other iconic sights including the famous rugby stadium: Kingsholm.
Participants will then cross over the quaint Gloucester docks on a downhill section on a towpath which will see them build up plenty of speed, they will then continue to hug the quayside up until the 7k mark.
There is then a familiar route around the Gloucester Cathedral before participants will head back towards the docklands before tackling a long and flat straightway that leads them to the start/finish area at Gloucester Park.
Please note that the towpath is narrow so please exercise caution when overtaking. There's also a risk of Weils disease if participants fall into the Water so please try to keep yourself dry and don't be tempted to push any passers-by into the river.
