Route information
This will be a dark course, lit up by runners in bright clothes and glow sticks as well as light shows along the way to brighten up the night.
Glow Fun Night Run
This 5k fun run will be a 1 lap loop along the pavement on the east side of Dorney Lake.
Glow Speed of Light
  • 10k - this will be one 'horse shoe' lap of the return lake and the main lake.
  • 15k - runners will complete one 'horse shoe' lap followed by one 5k lap.
  • 20k - this route will take two 'horse shoe' laps.

Bib Number
You'll need to collect your bib number on the day from registration. Nothing will be sent out in advance.
Fancy Dress
Runners are encouraged to come in bright colours and fancy dress to add to the fun atmosphere of this event. There will be prizes for the best dressed male and female runners.

There wasn't much to do while waiting for the race to start and it was so cold without anywhere inside to wait. There weren't that many racers so there wasn't much of an atmosphere, it would have been nice to have had some music or a bit of a warm up

Only one Marshall on a 5k loop in the dark by water seemed quite dangerous. No lights shows on the way round, no music, no warm up, no atmosphere, rubbish medal (should have glowed in the dark)

The event was rubbish and not as advertised. Promotional photos showed lots of UV paint and lights. This was not the case, 90% of the course was pitch black, very few marshalls, no warm up, no atmosphere, not worth the £28 fee, would not recommend.

I felt quite disappointed when I turned up as there was hardly any light displays like advertised, there were only 7 people running the 5km race and no water/feed stations along the route. There was a stand selling head torches, but rather than letting you take a new one in a box, you were handed a loose one which seemed to be scratched which seemed very odd. Altogether it was nothing like advertised. I enjoyed it as I ran with friends and it was a different experience… but a lot darker with hardly any lighting along the way.

This event is false advertisement! There is no atmosphere, lights, marshals, food stations and a cheap rubber medal at the end which doesn’t even state the distance you have run! The route was pitch black and quite scary as the closest light was over 5k away! The finish line was even hidden round a corner with no arrows to lead the way! To be charged £35 for this experience was crazy and extremely disappointing!

I did not enjoy this event. There were very few marshalls making the event feel very unsafe, and those few that were around were not visible. There were no toilets on the course except for at the start, forcing people to urinate in bushes. There was no music, atmosphere, very few lights (despite it being billed as Glow in the Park!) and all in all it was an incredibly boring experience. The worst running event I've ever been involved with.

Hey there, unfortunately I cannot find a map however, the Event Organisers recommend downloading Apps such as ParkOpedia and AppyParking are useful for finding spaces close to the start and finish area which is located on the Marina end of the Madeira Drive.
