Good Friday 10 Miler

A 10 mile road race around quiet country lanes. The routes starts at Stanley football ground based in Chippenham, you will head down Stanley lane into the scenic Wiltshire countryside, you will pass through the beautiful village of Tytherton Lucas and continue towards Langley Burrell following some of the famous rural pathway of the Maud’s Heath Causeway. You will pass over the famous Kellaways Bridge which rises above the Avon flood plain on sixty-four brick arches, as it carries an undistinguished country road between Bremhill and Langley Burrell. You will continue through the lanes completing a small loop before you double back across the bridge and head back towards Tytherton Lucas and Stanley Lane to finish within Stanley football ground. The route is predominantly flat with a slight down hill section for the first 1.5 miles and a slight climb within the last 1.5 miles returning to the sports ground.
