Now jointly organised by High Peak LDWA and South Manchester LDWA The Goyt Valley Challenge offers two routes for walkers and runners of 24.5 and 13.3 miles, in the western Peak District including Solomon's Temple, Axe Edge, Goyt Valley, Shining Tor, Lamaload Reservoir, Kettleshulme, Taxal Moor and Fernilee.

Get full directionsFree parking is provided off Bishops Lane (GR: SK043731)
From North West, North, East, South and South East: travel to Buxton centre, take A53 for 0.8 mile, then turn right onto Bishops Lane (at SK 045 730) - look for event signs to car park.
From West (Macclesfield) take A54, then after junction with A53 continue for 0.6 mile and after traffic lights turn left onto Nursery Lane (at SK 044 729) - look for event signs to car park.
From South West (Stoke) take A53 (Leek to Buxton), then after traffic lights, turn left onto Nursery Lane (at SK 044 729) - look for event signs to car park
