Half Marathon:
Races summary
Here's what races are available for Grand Union Canal Half Marathon - April
Half Marathon
Route information
The route is fairly flat, primarily on the canal towpath with some grass and park footpaths. Runners will enjoy racing past houseboats, pubs and country manors which make it hard to believe you're only 30 minutes from London.
This wonderful race can transport you away from the hustle and bustle of London to the beautiful surroundings of the Grand Union Canal. The popular point-to-point route takes runners from Uxbridge to Watford along the canal all the way.
The start will be well spread out in waves allowing you plenty of room to enjoy the narrow sections of towpath without having to worry about too many other runners.

Did the Half Marathon in 2022
A scenic course, which was well organised and marshalled. The signage was clear which was great because at points you may not have any other runners in sight to follow. The only downside was that there wasn’t any spectators cheering you on!
Did the Half Marathon in 2017
Ive ran this half marathon twice now! Its a lovely run, can be muddy if there has been heavy rain and it can be difficult to over take along the narrow paths beside the canal, but other than that, a great half marathon!
