What a fabulous location. It’s such a shame the course was so short. Had I of known I would be running 10k across a 4 lap course I would not of entered the event. I would only take part in this event again if the course was changed. Two laps of a 5k course would be better, but of course a 10k route round the fabulous grounds would be even better. I noticed that there wasn’t any marshall’s on the course. There were people handing out water and a person at the car park entrance but no one anywhere else. Maybe that was the reason for the short course? Friends and family love coming along to support there runner and lots of these people are happy to help out volunteering. That might be a way to get more marshall’s and have a better event for the participants.

Didn't like doing a four lap route and very uneven under foot. Good course for spectators and nice venue

Was really looking forward to this race a nice run round a lovely estate, but unfortunately it was a 4 x 2.5K laps around the grass airfield a field & a hill, on grass & not as advertised as gravel track & road, also there seemed a shortage of volunteers Marshall’s. Could & should have been better. Eddie T

Very enjoyable but a 1 lap 10 km route would have been awesome!

Very disappointing corse for a beautiful estate, thinking it would be an amazing run all over the estate, around the lake, woods, garden and tracks. It was 4 laps up and down a grass landing strip .

Great venue. Shame we had to do 4 laps as it was not good for my mind set knowing I had to do the hills 4 times!

Lovely day, nice hall and grounds, 4 laps of 2.5k was hard going on mostly grass - it was advertised as 2 laps of 5k trail/gravel. I’m unsure as to whether or not I would recommend, it wasn’t an interesting course, I think for beginner trail running it was very hard work on the grass so hard to know who it would appeal to. There were very few marshals on the course - if there had been an incident at the furthest point out you would have been a mile back to get help and reliant on runners to help you. Marshals were only at the start/finish area which was the same as the water area. Everyone was welcoming, easy to find, easy car parking but I don’t think I will be back when there are so many other events to explore.
