The Great South West Sportive takes riders through stunning scenery throughout, there will be exciting descents and challenging climbs as you head through beautiful countryside and moorland of Dartmoor. This event has been designed for cyclists, by cyclists, it will be fully supported with signed routes making for a safe and memorable day for everyone taking part.
All 3 routes will start from the new Event Village at Marjons University, heading through the wonderful South West countryside and numerous iconic landmarks. These include taking on the famous Pork Hill climb in Rundlestone, which is in the Strava Top 100 climbs, and being part of the first cycling event to cross Tamar Bridge!
The Extreme Route will take riders through an additional 30 miles of beautiful Dartmoor roads. You will head through the village of Widecombe in the Moor and through the wonderful valley of the River Dart, crossing at Dartmeet.
There will be appropriately placed feed stations on all the routes, where you will have the choice of sweet and savoury snacks. Alongside this you can relax knowing you have mechanical, medical and field support throughout the event.

Get full directionsBy Car
From the A38 Parkway, travel north on the A386 Tavistock Road, signposted Tavistock and Derriford Hospital. At the main Derriford Roundabout junction, follow the signs for Derriford Hospital, and take the first left onto Plymbridge Lane. Marjons University will be signposted and continue to the main entrance following the event signage.
