Event really well organised. Pack sent a couple of weeks in advance, with all the info you might need.On the day, it was easy to get into the starting pens and there were pacers in each pen. Lots of water stations along the route, which was REALLY flat! And the atmosphere was just great - the crowds were amazing and definitely added to the experience. I think it was the perfect option for my first marathon!… read more

It was a great atmosphere. The warm up and commentary was inspirational and fun. My grievance with the event was the litter in particular the plastic bottles. This use of single use bottles can't continue and the event needs to address this problem.

Manchester was my first marathon and i wasnt disappointed. I was totally buzzing the whole weekend. It was a very well organised event. I love crossing the start line to a pumping Blue Monday by New Order. The crowds were a great support. The only downside was the course was a bit dull in sections (and may be too flat!!) but the route is changing to go through the city centre next year. I really appreciated a very tasty free alcohol-free pint of beer at the end which tasted like proper booze. Good to have the start & finish cameras on You Tube so you can check how ridiculous you look later.

Fantastic did this as my first marathon and signed up 3 weeks before, race pack arrived before the race. Pricey compared to other marathons but the crowds were fantastic Only criticism was the toilet queue prior to and it was not clear whether there were more in pens so everyone queued and first ones so 40 mins and anxiety about missing start

Great marathon on a flat course which is perfect for chasing that PB time. The organisation was fantastic, easy to follow signage, plenty of parking and staff were knowledgeable about where to go. I would definitely recommend this race with the fantastic atmosphere and great organisation.

Enjoyed the race itself, flat route and lots of crowds. Ordered an x small T-shirt and they only had large left when I got to the end. Wasnt even that slow, so a lot of xs s and m people behind me would have been disappointed

Amazing event with awesome crowds. Really helpful Marshall and organisers. Only criticism more toilets needed at start line and placed so the queues don't go across the starting pens.

Well organised event, great support from spectators across the majority of the course, lots of which are residential Home streets. New city centre section of route for 2020 is a great addition. My only suggestion for improvement would be more food, refreshments etc to buy at the end within the finisher village.
