The Gunnersbury 10k run was generally OK. However the course was short by about 400m so I ran the extra distance to make up the full 10k. Another runner also ran beyond the finish line as her Garmin watch indicated that the course was not a full 10k. I double checked on Google maps afterwards and it confirmed that the course was less than 10k.

A disgrace. The worst event I’ve ever attended. Course did not appear to be correct distance. Poor organisation. Chaos at the start (where was the start line?/ didn’t get a warning so as to start our watches). No chipped time.

Poorly organised. No chipped timing, cheap jack medal and t- shirt. No post race results. No properly set start line, was wonder how they messure time without chip on the bib. Yes, they were messure - by ladies on the finish line! streaming " what's your number ?!!!"

The event was well organised and the stewards/marshalls were fantastic. Sadly, it seems that the course measured round 500 metres under 10k which is a bit of shame.

This race has a cheap entry fee, so I wasn't bothered that there weren't any frills, or timing chips, or facilities at the race, however organization was lacking. The pre-race email was incoherent and left me without a clear idea of where to find the start (quite a ways from the park entrance). It wouldn't have cost a cent to provide decent directions. Most disappointing to me, the course was too short - maybe as much at 400m, so I don't have a comparable time. It can't have been difficult to stagger the finish to provide an accurate length. The course was nice and shady most of the way, water station functioned well. This has the makings of a good event. I don't need a medal or t-shirt to add to the pile, would much prefer better organisation.

Overall, I was disappointed with the event.1. Upon arrival, it turned out that the organisers did not have a number for my wife. More generally, the format for finding people's numbers seemed very disorganised compared to similar events I've been to (where each participant has a ready-made pack). 2. No chip times. This is one of the main reasons to do these events - for an official chip time. We can all time ourselves going round a track. Those near the back of the start line will have received inaccurate times. 3. Results took a long time to be published. Similar events, as well as free events such as Park Runs, often have results up within a few hours. This took longer than 24 hours. 4. Incomplete / inaccurate results. My wife's result is still, at the time of writing, not included in the results. 5. No music / DJ / compere etc. which can often help with the atmosphere.

Poor organisation in the day with bibs having to be reassigned and ours had Birmingham 10k on them. The guy starting the race lacked friendliness and charm and marched us to the start and said we called us to start so quick ..... he went from 2 mins to start within 10 seconds. The route was nice and marshals very encouraging and helpful. The water was also adequate and easy to grab. The race was 450 metres short...... the race was described as laps then a straight 500 metre finish-clearly the 500 metre finish hadn’t been added on to the end of the course. Frustrating as not a proper time as it was not a 10k. As only cheap I wouldn’t expect a lavish medal or tshirt but perhaps skip the tshirt and put the cost to the medal or its ribbon having the event and date on. No excuse for being so short though!

Pre the run the information sent out was incomplete with the link to the course map not working. At registration, the numbers assigned were a mix and some had ‘Oxford 10 km’ on them. We were told that this was not important only the number mattered. Looked sloppy and unprofessional and a bit disorganised. Starter was friendly but the count down only went down to 7, then we were told to go. Not good for accurately timing ones start with strava/timers. No chip. Marshals and staff were great and very friendly. No results posted as yet. Needs improvement but other than all of these points, we all had fun.

A very nice course but the organisation was very poor. The start was chaos, starter chatting away and then without enough warning to properly start our watches / trackers - just set us all off. We couldn’t even see where the actual start line was. Medals - had just the name of the organiser with no reference at all of the actual race - very poor. Most people in the cafe that we were chatting to afterwards said their watches / trackers showed that the course was short. Also - NO CHIPPED TIMING. Very disappointing.
