Route information
Join this iconic post-Christmas run set in the Berkshire countryside, choosing from a 10k or 10-mile distance. Get out of your festive slump and hit a series of muddy trails which promise to challenge even experienced runners, ending your 2023 with a bang.
The 10k and 10-mile routes set out together until approximately 5 miles/8k. At this point, the routes split to rejoin later and then split again, so it's important to keep an eye out for signage for your distance and listen to the marshals.
Participants will enjoy the beautiful surroundings, racing through picturesque fields and woodland areas. It is a wonderful location for a trail run. Taking place in December there is bound to be mud and runners will encounter a variety of fun and challenging terrain, including:
  • Water crossings
  • Roman Walls
  • Grassy fields
  • Muddy footpaths
  • Tricky hills
This makes for a challenging, but fun event for runners of a variety of abilities. You will be sure to enjoy this perfect setting for a winter trail run and the wonderful atmosphere at the race, with finishers will able to enjoy a post-race mulled wine and mince pie.
