I really enjoyed taking part and was proud of my achievement.I was surprised to discover the roads were only partially shut, meaning having to run between or passed stationary/slow moving vehicles!Surely this is a health and safety issue….

Quite a tough hilly course, choice of 1 mile, 3K, 5K and 10K routes (the 10K is 2 laps of the 5K course). Road closures were a bit hit and miss and so cars would often come past you as you're running forcing you onto pavements. Local residents heard moaning at the marshalls at various points too, can't please everyone!! All in all though a good race and challenging course.

Loved the DJ and atmosphere at the start and finish. Bit confusing running through the finish at 5k when another 5 to go. More. Water stations were really needed, it was so hot and the finish 5k felt too near the cadet one and too busy for a pit stop. Nice medal. Nice cakes.

I entered the 3km race with my son. We arrived to be told it had already started. The time had been change 3 times by this point! We were very disappointed but luckily we entered the 5km race. Worked out in the end and my 6yr old managed the course. No bag drop either which the email stated. When the organiser was talking on microphone ot was very difficult to hear.
