even in a weather warning and torrential rain we had fun! the organisers had done everything they could to make sure the race could go ahead and that we could stay dry for as long as possible. You could see how much they had had to change last minute on the day due to the wind and rain. the face painter was amazing! the sad thing was the medals - it advertised medals for both the 10k and 2k races and my 4 year old was so excited she was going to get a medal that she ran the whole way round.... only to be told the medals were only for 10k runners. there weren't many tricks along the route either

My son came 3rd I was so happy for him, the only way I sold this race to him was by saying you will get a medal at the end. Sadly this was not the case. It seems we are not the only family who thought this. The staff on the day were very friendly. Cheering in the awful weather. I thought the course might have been a bit more interactive as it said tricks and treats along the way. Some great fancy dress outfits. Not sure who won prizes for that. I think the weather had put a downer on the morning for some. The kids not getting medals was a shame. The marshalls were great!

Good fun despite awful weather due to the people entering and the atmosphere they created. Stunning course. But really poor organization, especially at the end of the race. Just go and grab a small goodie bag from table no one saying anything to racers. Nothing about fancy dress competition. Worst thing was no medals for the kids, said it was in the event description. Spoilt it for my daughter. Really Disappointing ending After the race

This was really good fun. The weather was appalling - driving rain and gales, nevertheless made it round in the mud with 2 adults, two teens, a 5 and 3 year old and a puppy. We were soaked and muddy but had a good laugh. The organisers/volunteers were really friendly and encouraging and we felt wide awake after. I thought there were going to be people dressed up jumping out but there weren’t - not sure if this was due to the weather or not. My little ones want to do it again. Participants really made the effort which was fun

Poorly organised, not Halloween themed as advertised, no medal, no warm up, no atmosphere, not a timed event. Will not re-book.
Did the race in 2021
Poorly organised, the race was advertised with a starting time of 10:15 it started at 10:05 no reasons given. My child was very disappointed not to get a medal although it clearly states in the advert that a finishers medal was included, the chrildrew were also told by the officials "the medals are only for those running in the big race" I thought this was very unprofessional.

I have done this run twice before with my children and they received medals and a bag of sweets. However this year there was no medal and it was very disappointing, neither the 2:09 event website or let’s do this are clear on what’s included.

Great setting but really poor for being family friendly. The advertising of what is included needs to distinguish between the 10k and 2k. Really sad to see childrens faces when they are told that the medals are not for them or even worse when they are told to put them back - they are for the big race. Sorry - 2k in the pouring rain for children deserves more than a bag of sweets.
