Route information
The event starts and finishes in the grounds of Hampton Court Palace.
One of the main benefits that Hampton Court Palace has for running is being placed next to the River Thames. This means that ground around and inside the Palace is flat, making it the perfect event for a PB.
One thing for sure, is that you will be hard pushed to find a more scenic event in the UK.

Amazing day and big thanks to the RunThrough team for a fantastic eventAnd a wonderful venue to run atThe course was a mixture of road, pathways and grass and plenty of mudThat didn't stop any one and it made for a great runLoved all the stuff in the event village area and having royalty there as well was great

There was talk of a warm-up happening but actually by the time I got to the start line (set off when the announcer in the village told me to), I never saw that happening then ended up starting the race a few minutes later. Luckily I had been warming up while waiting to go over but it was just something I noted. The atmosphere in the race was great, I ADORED the choir around 4km, what a beautiful surprise. Also any staff/volunteers I spoke to were knowledgable, friendly and helpful. The second half of the course was definitely difficult because of the slippy mud but I suppose this is a weather issue and can't be helped. I liked the KM markings and all the swag at the end though I ended up with too much in my hand that I couldn't get to my water to drink, maybe items could be available in the event village instead and show your medal to collect rather than them all being straight after the finish line.

I had a great day and it's clearly a well run organisation. My only teeny gripe was that I wasn't informed the entrance I used was going to be closed off and I wouldn't be able to exit the same way at the end .

Nice course, however some advance warning that the second half of the course was going to be Grassy/muddy would have been handy. Furthermore, having the event village closer to the start line would have been handy

Nice course, however some advance notice of the grass/muddy terrain for the second half would have been nice. Furthermore moving the event village closer to the start line would have been handy.

It was so crowded it was difficult to run at your own pace and the conditions were terrible, it was so so muddy and slippery which is obviously no one’s fault but coupled with the crowding it was not an enjoyable run at all.

It’s was a brilliant course although it was very muddy and slippery (guess that comes with the time of year) but will definitely run it again.
