Route information
Take on this self-navigational point-to-point marathon to test your ability. This course will be hilly and entrants are reminded to upload the GPX course to their watch or Geo Tracks navigation app to follow the route.
Entrants will start at the Morden Bog Nature reserve in Wareham Forest. The course will explore a mystical forest which will put on show Wareham, Corfe Castle, and Kimmeridge at their finest. Then the route will take you out along some of Dorsets finest coastal trails - a true treat for all runners.

Parking
Parking is not permitted at the start of the event. Participants are asked to be dropped off by their support crew.
Lulworth village hall has a finish area that has space for 20 cars, there are also other parking spaces available in the local area.

Entrants must arrive in plenty of time before their start time to register and pick up their GPS tracker.

Entrants can choose when they start the Marathon when they pick up their tracker from registration before the event.
Age Requirements
Entrants must be 18 years or older to participate.
Rules
Self-Navigation
This is a fully self-navigational run. Participants are to use the issued GPS tracker and the Geo Tracks app alongside their own electronic navigation device to complete the route. A GPS watch with the GPX route loaded into it is highly recommend.
Support Crew
Participants need a support crew and need to be self-supported.
Assistance
  • Participants must have a designated assistant to drop them off and pick them up at the finish line.

Did the race in 2022
This route really shows the Isle of Purbeck at its finest. Fast flat pine forests, boggy & rutted heathland, hilly and stunning sea cliffs. Adventurous feeling and a good challenge to start the year!
