A very well organised event and well managed considering the weather conditions! The course was tough and quite slippy in the mud. However I wasnt wearing the right trainers so that was my fault! Great atmosphere too, enjoyable day.

Despite the conditions (winds so high it blew away race HQ and the portaloos) the event got away on time which was no small miracle. Its a pretty honest course that was tough going in the winds and the water underfoot making some sections really tough going. In better weather it would be a fab event and a great run with multiple out and backs to give you sightings of other friends and competitors in the race! 

A very enjoyable local event that was friendly and above all great fun. Conditions on the day were very challenging with gale force winds, but the organisers coped extremely well. This is only the second year they have held this event, so they are still learning, but I hope they will be back. My only criticism is the course could have been a bit more interesting with a bigger loop around the surrounding area, rather than going up and  back down the Nickey Line and then in and out some residential streets.  It did seem that they struggled to work out an interesting 13.1m loop. Overall though, I would recommended this event to anyone wanting a fun, enjoyable run over mixed terrain.
