FAQs
What is the pace of the Heart of Darkness?
The organiser can form different pace groups on the day so that faster people can be finished up to an hour ahead of the “sunsetters”. To finish in 7 hours 50 is brisk walking pace with a photo stops. It will be weather dependent on the day and safety concerns will always dictate pace but assume brisk walking on the steep uphills, jogging or running on the flats and picking your way carefully down the descents. It is a doable challenge.
