Since the event takes place in November in exposed terrain, there is the potential for extreme weather. In previous years, the event has seen strong winds, flooding, snow, and extremely cold weather. If as a result or for any other reason it is decided that the event needs to be cancelled, all entries will automatically go into the next time the event is held. Every day at Race HQ you will receive a weather update and report along with the results at the end of each day.

Kit List

The weather in November and the terrain on the hill can be unforgiving, so please dress and plan ahead responsibly. Conditions can change from one extreme to the other at this time of year and previous years have witnessed strong winds, flooding, snow, and extreme cold. These conditions require suitable clothing and footwear, and good preparation for what kit you pack for the food stations.

It is recommended that you pack some spare warm dry clothes or waterproofs into a bag which can be left at Race HQ or at the water station. Please label these bags clearly.

Spectators

Support crew can park at Lower House Car Park (which is public and free) 3.5 miles from the start/finish/RaceHQ.

Spectators can park at RaceHQ for £2.50, which gives them full access to the site and facilities.
