About
Longmoor Camp- home of the original HellRunner event. Much copied but never equalled. And now wilder and wetter, hillier and hellier than ever. A heady mixture of hills, water features and sand-sapping ascents… served ice-cold if you please. It’s tougher than Tough Mudder and grimmer than the Grim. Oh yes. If running was an animal it would be a dog. Let’s just say HellRunner is part of the dog’s undercarriage. It really is that good! 2000 lost souls will face an epic endurance challenge of 10+ miles laced with theatre, music and pyromania. Naturally devilishly good fun.

Great race- 7th Hell Down South I've done and will be back for more! The course usually has a lot of water traps along the route, with 2 large water sections called "Lucifer's Lido" and the "bog of doom". There is also the very muddy "Satan's swamp". As the course is in late November the water temp is always very cold, so will sap the energy out of you - especially just before the "Hills of Hell" - a section of approx seven 20m hills over the course of a mile. Lightweight clothing that doesn't take on water and trail shoes are a good idea. Hill training beforehand also helps.
