Route information
Swim
The swim portion of the event will be laps in the 25m long pool, ensuring a straightforward start to the event. Swimmers will be started at 20-30 second intervals.
  • Super Sprint & Fun entrants will swim 8 lengths
  • Sprint & Relay entrants will swim 16 lengths
Bike
A mainly flat and quite a technical course, the bike ride is an 18k loop around the countryside. With fully closed-roads and a flat ride, entrants can focus on cruising the roads.
It is compulsory to wear a cycle helmet on the cycle section of the event.
See hereExternalLink for an interactive route map.
Run
In similar fashion, the run route follows closed, flat roads, ensuring runners can enjoy the scenery instead of a challenging route. The course will be looped, with runners completing laps to run their chosen distance.
  • Super Sprint & Fun - 4 laps (5k)
  • Sprint & Relay - 2 laps (2.5k)
All competitors must count their own swim lengths in the pool, their own laps on the bike and run.

This is a favourite of mine as it was my first Tri five years ago. Really friendly but ran like clockwork.

Interesting Course. Pretty hilly which adds an extra dimension. The pool was fine as long as you had your tactics right. I will definitely be doing it again next year!

This was my first sprint triathlon. I thought it was really well organised with a great relaxed atmosphere. Everyone was really friendly and it didn't feel too competitive for a first timer. Everything went smoothly. The swim in the pool worked reasonably well for me as a reasonably slow swimmer, the cycle route was lovely and well signposted. The run - as four laps of a sports field was a bit tedious; it would have been nicer to do a circular route, but can understand why it is arranged the way it is. I enjoyed every minute of it. It was good to know that there were 2 transitions and to plan nutrition accordingly. I would definitely consider doing it again. Thanks to everyone who was involved in the organisation.

would have preferred an out and back run as running round the playing field is very hard work as its so boring. The event was overall marvellous. Loved the double transition as it avoids all the chaos. Bike ride was hard but good. Any chance of a single lap? I know its harder to marshall though so understand it may not be possible.

Very good course and event over all well signed for the cycle and run guidance from marshalls through out the event only thing that dropped the score and let down the day was the timing chip strap it came loose in the swim then came off just before the end meaning I had to stop then complete my last two lengths with it in my hand refitted in t1 for it to completely come off on the cycle again leaving me to stop and look for it not to find it other than that great day and event will definatly be doing it next year

As this event has two transitions, make sure to take a gel with you on the bike if you usually take one on the run - there won't be a place you can leave it in second transition if you don't have separate running shoes and bike shoes.Be prepared for things to get a little dicey in the pool - it's tiny and you will get held up as it's hard to overtake in such narrow lanes. Use those moments to catch your breath!
