The increasingly popular Henley-on-Thames Triathlon is in its ninth year and takes place at Henley Leisure Centre and Gillotts School.
The town is perhaps best known for the annual Royal Regatta, which attracts some of the world's finest rowers. Conveniently situated just outside the picturesque town of Henley on the edge of the Chiltern Hills and the banks of the River Thame.
We want to encourage more women to have a go! Any age, any ability, just get together for the camaraderie and challenge, whilst raising vital funds for research into beating cancer. The event is aimed at all abilities, at all levels of fitness, from complete novice to club and pro triathlete, as well as charity and fun competitors.
UK Triathlon has dedicated a section of the event solely to The Pink Wave and is working in partnership with Cancer Research UK to raise money for research into all 200 types of cancer. Open to all women who want to take part. All abilities welcome. High 5's, cheers, and a lot of pink guaranteed!

For the adult triathlon: The swim discipline takes place from the indoor swimming pool followed by the cycle course which is flat with some undulations and takes in many fields and trees in this rural route through the Oxfordshire countryside. The final run discipline is on grass around the picturesque grounds of Gillotts School.
For the kids triathlon:The pool is 25 metres long, tumble turns are not allowed. Children will be started at 20 second intervals in the pool. The swim course is very straight forward and there will be a verbal briefing prior to each child starting. A swim cap will be given to each child and must be worn. Children may use their own swim cap instead if preferred.
The cycle course is fairly flat and on grass. The course is completely post and taped making it clear to follow and is entirely within the school grounds. Children will not be allowed to take part without a bike helmet.
