Duathlon Standard

The route will take place within the RAF Upper Heyford airbase. This was a prominent airbase during the Second World War and the Cold War and racers will be able to immerse themselves in the history of the venue.
Given the nature of the venue, this race is entirely flat and racers will have the chance to set a quick time in this great setting. It is a brilliant event for athletes of all ability. Experienced athletes can enjoy the flat terrain and set a fast time, or anyone new to the sport can take on their first mutli-sport event.
Runs
The Half Marathon and 10k routes follow a similar course along the disused runways within the airbase. Both courses are lapped and distances will be clearly marked throughout. The 5k route will once again take participants throughout the historic airbase, with only a few minor changes to the course.
All routes will be flat and within the closed Airbase meaning all abilities of runners are welcome to join this fun and friendly event. And with a Family Mile also available, this event really is a day for the whole family.

The Airfield is situated 7.5 miles north west of Bicester, and is easily accessible from the M40.
Parking
There is likely to be parking available on-site, instructions regarding parking and planning your journey will be communicated prior to the event to all pre-registered participants.

The nearest station is Heyford Railway Station, which is around a 10 minute drive to the venue.

Race Pack
Contestants will collect their race pack on the day when they register.
Age Restrictions
You must be at least 17 on race day to take part in the Standard Duathlon, and you must be at least 15 to take part in either the Sprint or Super Sprint Duathlon.
The Half Marathon races are open to entrants aged 17 and over on race day. The 10k races are open to entrants aged 15 and over on race day and the 5k races are open to entrants aged 11 and over on race day.
