Set in the beautiful Cherwell Valley countryside, the three routes all utilise the base's Runway, RAF Taxiway and NATO Taxiway and are therefore pancake flat, traffic-free and pretty much PB guaranteed! Choose between the 5K, 10K or Half Marathon - all equally good for those venturing into racing, moving up a distance or just trying to improve times. Something for the whole family and a safe environment for spectators with refreshments and plenty of history around you!

Experience the Heyford Park Airbase Half Marathon - fast, flat, fantastic! The route utilises the Airbase's runway, RAF taxiway & NATO taxiway and is therefore pancake flat, traffic-free, and pretty much PB guaranteed!
What's included
Results: Results will be uploaded live to our website (internet connection permitting) and, where possible, timing print-outs will be available at the race. In all cases, results will be communicated to all pre-registered participants within 24 hours of the event.
Medals: All finishers will receive a medal on completing the race.
Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the top three runners overall and the top runner in each of the veteran categories (V40/V50/V60/V70) for both males and females. Where possible, we will endeavour to present individual race prizes as soon as confirmed on the day.
How to get there

Get full directionsDirections: The event is held at Heyford Park, Upper Heyford, Bicester, Oxfordshire, OX25 5HD. From the M40 this is approximately 9 miles from Junction 9, and 4 miles from Junction 10. You will pick up signs to the race once you have reached the village of Upper Heyford. Please be aware that we will not be using the main entrance to Heyford Park, so follow signs until you reach the Race Car Park entrance.
Parking: You will need to display a car pass in order to gain access to the Airbase which will be emailed to you prior to race day. Please ensure that any spectators arriving in separate cars also print a copy. Follow the Race Car Park signs and park only where directed. Do not drive anywhere else on the base and please remember that this is a restricted access location and certain areas available only to us... and only for the race!
