  • Did the 5 miles in 2017

This race is part of the annual Grand Prix - a series of four races in 10 days organised by Holme Pierrepont Running Club and taking place in a selection of scenic parks around Nottingham. The first is 4 miles, in Rushcliffe Country Park, then this very flat and fast 10k at the National Water Sports Centre; next comes a certified 5k on the Trent Embankment - a beautiful, riverside flat course and finally a 5 mile race suing part of Colwick racecourse and the Colwick Country Park. The 10k is a very popular race, and often sells out. This year it also doubles as the Nottinghamshire AAA County Championship 10k. The organisation was brilliant last year, with cheering, friendly marshals, seemingly everywhere and friendly water stations in just the right places. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone, whether aiming for a fast, flat PB-potential race or just looking for a friendly fun run in the massed pack.
