I have read the previous reviews and agree its a tough course but very stunning views. But does not have the back up that is normally associated with such an event. Yes we was concerned during the event what if something went wrong? marshals where very thin on the ground and some busy roads to cross with NO support (scary).

The course was beautiful and certainly a challenge! The start and finish venue could have had so much more going on for families. There wasn't anything to keep the kids entertained while waiting for the finishers to come in, but there was so much potential space for things to be going on. The registration and picking up of numbers etc was smooth and the finish was simple enough, although having done the half but being given a marathon t-shirt. I felt a bit of a fraud! 😄All in all though, the sense of achievement overrides the negatives!

Really badly organised, dangerous in fact, few Marshalls, crossing busy roads. Badly signed, I had to wait for other competitors to find out ‘which way to go next!’ There wasn’t enough Marshall’s, what if something goes wrong?! It is a hard course made worse by lack of support/marshalls and running on active tight roads with cars coming at you. Wouldn’t recommend this

I actually quite enjoyed the course, it as it is described probably one of the toughest half marathon road races you can do. I thought the organisation was well, the running community that were there today which includes the runners, spectators and officials, all made it a really nice event. The only disappointment at the moment is that i do not feature on the results page, i wore my Timer, it was taken off me at the end, i need this result as it was a club challenge race.
