Route information
This race is for a fantastic cause, with previous years having raised up to £8,000 for Humanity Direct, a charity which helps children in developing countries get the medical care they vitally need. As such, your £58 race fee is a donation to a great cause.
This course will take you throughout the picturesque Chiltern Hills and through some of its most notable valleys - Misbourne and Chess.
The ultra is split into three races: walkers, runners, and elite runners. Each race starts at a different time, with elite runners targeting a time below 6 hours.

Paramedics will be provided incase of any injuries during the event. Please let the Event Organisers know of any underlying medical problems before the race date.

Lovely friendly race. Very well-organised and the course was really well marked. Not too muddy given the terrible conditions everywhere else! Would be a great first ultra or just a great day out as it's good value and easy to get to the start. And all for a fantastic cause.

Really enjoyed the day. Beautiful route, lots of fun in the mud, hardly any road sections. Great organisation by XNRG. Thoroughly recommend.

A brilliant, yet challenging, day out in the Chilterns. Heartily recommended for 'ultra' beginners.
Did the race in 2019
All in all a good event. This is a highly runnable course, even when conditions underfoot aren't ideal (as was.the case this year). The only real complaint I have is the difference between the actual route and the information provided beforehand (on internet and maps provided on the day), as there were a couple of deviations that had a real mental impact as I had run the course during training. It should also be noted that the course is about 48.5km, not 50k as advertised.
