Terrain Tarmac
The first two miles start a short walk from the Humber Bridge Car Park on Ferriby Road, looping around the west of town, before heading to the bridge itself. Heading southbound on the bridge, runners will hit the 3 mile mark midway across the bridge. Runners are met with steady alternation between incline and decline for the next 5 miles, while they tour the town further. At the 11 mile mark to the finish, runners head back toward the bridge on the east side and uphill back to race HQ.
For the first time in 20 years runners are allowed to run on both the outward and inward legs across the bridge totally traffic free. This has been instigated by the Humber Bridge Board. This road closure will require a three hour cut off point for runners at mile 11. Any runners in excess of three hours will be unable to complete the race without reprive.
