Route information
This stunning route will push you up a few hills as it cruises around Bolton. There are water/ice cream stations every 5K through the race. With a 2 hour time limit, this gives plenty of time to get back for one last ice cream before sunset.

Can I enter on the day?
Yes. An additional fee will be added if any places remain for an on-the-day entry. Entry is not guaranteed, so check the event page in advance.
Are there prizes?
Yes, there will be awards for the fastest three runners (Male or Female) for each of the 10K and 5K events. There is also a prize for the fastest mile runner (Male or Female).
Will the course be marked?
Yes, the course will be clearly marked and supported with ice cream run route signs.
What is the race terrain?
The race is set in the beautiful Bolton countryside at Walker Fold. The trail is a mixture of stone, mud and water along the way. The route is undulating and hilly in parts, but suitable for all abilities with a generous cut off time.
Is there parking available?
Yes, there is parking at Walker Folds Car Park BL1 7PT.
What time does registration open?
17:30 and please arrive with plenty of time to get registered and sufficiently warm up.
