This is a 5-mile walk up Cat Gill and straight up to Walla Crag Summit. You will reach the Castlehead viewpoint where you can witness the breathtaking views of the Lake District.

Keswick Rugby Club is the official car park for this event, situated a short 5-minute walk to the Festival site. Parking for this car park is ticketed and must be booked in advance when booking your entry for this race. The opening times for this car park are as follows:
- Friday 20 May - 07:00-23:00
- Saturday 21 May - 06:30-23:00
- Sunday 22 May - 05:00-17:00
