Route information

This 5k takes place in the ever-popular Christchurch Park in the heart of Ipswich. The course is two laps looping around the park on pathways. Although the course is undulating, it is suitable for beginners and advanced runners alike.

Runners are reminded that the event does not have exclusive use of the park and to be aware of other park users.

The 2.5k Fun Run will be just one lap of Christchurch Park.

By Car

The best road to enter via is Westerfield which is the closest to the event start.

Parking

Parking is available at the Crown Car Park as well another car park just off William Street.

By Public Transport

The closest railway station is Ipswich, which is around 1.5 miles from the Westerfield Road entrance.

Bus service numbers 12, 13, 14, and 800 run from the railway station to Ipswich Library (0.5 miles from the race start).

Event day logistics

19:00 5k & 2.5k start

Please ensure that you arrive at least 45 minutes before the start of the race in order to drop your bag and warm up.

Age Requirements

Runners must be 11 and older to enter the 5k. The 2.5k Fun Run is open to all ages.

Race Pack

Race packs will be collected on the day from Race HQ. This is where you’ll pick up your race pack, leave your bag and can ask any last-minute questions.

Was really nervous but was put at ease by everyone , they were all very helpful and kind , even made a new running buddy to meet there again 😀

A great race, well organised and clearly marshalled. There was a slight course alteration owing to part of the course being closed, but the signage and marshals were extremely clear and it was easy to follow.
