Route information
The swim start is one of the most iconic starts on the triathlon calendar, with a jump off the end of Eastbourne's historic pier. The bike route is largely fast and flat with only a couple of climbs in the final 10 miles (including the stunning roads over Beachy Head). The run is the perfect mixture of a scenic section around Whitbread Hollow before returning to the seafront for a fast, flat run along Eastbourne's historic promenade. The finish is right on the seafront with great support and atmosphere right next to the beach.

Relay Team Entry
Teams of three may enter the relay race, with each team member completing one discipline. To enter, one team member will submit entry and make the payment on behalf of the entire team (less any BTF day licence fees needed for the additional team members). This team member will enter their own details as team member 1 and enter the email addresses of their teammates.
Once payment is processed, the other teammates will receive an email containing a link which they must follow in order to input their own personal details. At this point, any team members who are not BTF members will be asked to pay an additional £1 for their own BTF day licence.
Do I need to be BTF affiliated in order to participate in the Ironbourne Triathlons?
No, all athletes are welcome. Those who are not affiliated however, will have to purchase a one-day BTF licence with your entry, for the additional cost of £6.
