Your adventure will begin by following the east coastal path past amazing beautiful beaches. Expect this Ultra to take you across sand, fantastic steep rock formations, and throughout woodlands.
You will climb the aptly named 'Devil's Chimney" up to Ventnor and Shanklin Downs for the fantastic views. Finally, you will arrive at Quarr Abbey where you will begin your journey toward Ryde. Finish the run with Fish and Chips (not included).

How to get there

Get full directionsBy Ferry
You can take the Wightlink Ferry from Portsmouth to Ryde. The run will start and finish at the port. The organiser recommends take the 09:15 Ferry from Portsmouth to Ryde, and booking your return for 18:45.
Tickets are flexible and ferries are frequent so if you are running a bit behind on schedule it will not matter.

Age Requirements
All entrants must be 18 or above to participate in Running Adventures events.
Accessibility
This is not a race! All entrants will run as a group and share this experience together. I advise that you have run at least 22 miles in training before trying this event. You should be able to comfortably run an average pace of 10 min/miles | 6 min/km for prolonged periods of time on the trail, and have a suitable level of fitness. Ultra running first timers encouraged!
Covid-19
If the event is cancelled due to Covid-19 restrictions the organiser will offer a refund or a transfer to a later date.

A full kit list will be provided closer to the event time and trail shoes are advised.
