Route information
Elevation: Mostly Flat with a challenging hill
Take on this great out-and-back route to escape the Lancaster Castle. Runners will start just outside of the Castle, before whizzing into the flat and fast section of the route, around the Lunesdale countryside.
Then you will begin to return to the Castle. As you approach the castle, you will meet a challenging hill that will guarantee to get your legs feeling the burn. Come for the atmosphere of the day and to enjoy the great scenery of the castle.

There is limited pay and display parking around the castle. There are several car parks within a 10-minute walk of the venue.

Age Requirements
All entrants must be 15 years of age or older to compete.
Race Packs
Race packs must be collected from registration on the day of the event. Nothing will be posted out.
Club Runner Entry
Members of Lancaster Runner's Club will receive a discounted rate. If you pay the lower rate and are not a member of the club you will have to pay the additional balance at the registration on the day of the event.
Toilets
The toilets are available at the Castle and at the Royal King's Arms hotel.
Drink stations
Drink stations are located approximately every 3 miles along the course.
Fancy Dress
You are welcome to wear fancy dress. Please be mindful about what you wear as roads and cycleways are not closed to the public.
Headphones
It is not recommended to use headphones when you run as you will need to be aware of what is around you and you must be able to take instructions from the marshals.
