Route information
This event is for teams of two and the theory behind it is simple.
Runner 1 runs up to the summit of Moel Famau, then hands over the timing band to Runner 2 who descends as quickly as possible to the finish!
The initial section through the fields is marked and MUST be followed, however after a few hundred metres and once out onto the open hillside, YOU choose your route! For descending runners, it's obviously the other way around - descend via whichever route you want, until the final approach to the finish where you pick up the marked route through the finishing fields.
The course is roughly 2.5 miles up and 2.5 miles down but it depends on your route of course.
The overall elevation gain/loss is 1587ft.

FAQs
I am Runner 2, what time do I need to be in position at the Jubilee Relay?
2nd Leg runners should be in position no later than 7:30pm. It is up to Leg 2 runners themselves to get to the summit promptly, in time for their run, and Leg 1 runners off of the summit safely after their run. The summit is a walk of about 50-60 minutes up from the HQ. The marshals at the summit will guide Leg 2 runners to the correct area for changeover.
How does the changeover work at the Jubilee Relay?
Leg 1 runners will approach the Jubilee Tower and go through the funnel on the South side of it, where a marshal will dib the timing band. Runners will then run around the Tower in an anti-clockwise direction, before handing over to their teammate, waiting on the North side of the tower, to start their descent.
Where can I see my results for the Jubilee Relay?
Upon finishing, the results will be available promptly, including overall times, ascent time and descent time splits. Results will later be posted on Out-Fit's website.
