Kenilworth Half Marathon routes

The half marathon will start and finish in Kenilworth Town Centre opposite the HSBC bank. Runners will head north towards the castle and will be treated to the unique experience of running inside the castle grounds.

From here runners will embark on the one lap out and back section on the picturesque country lanes around Beausale.

The course is undulating and there will be a rolling closed road system for this event.

There will be 5 refreshment stations along the route.

Raceday Logistics

Runners will need to pick up their race number and timing chip from registration between 12 noon and 6pm on Saturday or from 7am on race day.

The registration will be at: Holiday Inn, Abbey End, Kenilworth CV8 1ED.

If you are registering on the day, please allow plenty of time as it may be busy.

Race Day Schedule:

0745: All runners to have parked

0830: All runners to be in the start area

0900: Half Marathon Start

1200: Half Marathon Cut off time

Spectators

All spectators are welcome! The best area to view the runners is in the start/ finish area.

Can I wear headphones?
For safety reasons, only bone conductive headphones will be permitted
Is there a bag drop?
Yes, there will be supervised baggage storage in The Holiday Inn
Will there be pacers?
There will be pacers for the following times: 1:30, 1:45, 2:00, 2:15 and 2:30. All pacers will be wearing green pacer flags or yellow pacer vests.
Is there a cut off time for the race?
There is a cut off time of three hours
Can I transfer my number if I cannot run?
Yes, up to the 6th September but only via the RealBuzz entries website.
What happens if the event is cancelled?
Kenilworth runners will not refund runners if the event is cancelled due to events out of their control
Is there a minimum age limit?
Runners have to be 17 years old on the day of the event.
Are there showers and changing facilities available?
No, runners must arrive ready to run

    This was my first half so not much to compare with, but felt well organised, the course was really enjoyable and well marked, marshalls were great and the support from the locals was fab. Loved it!

    Overall this was a great event. The course was in a lovely area and there was some great scenery along the way. It’s a challenging course with plenty of hills, but that just means lots of downhills too. My only criticism is that at the finish they ran out of both the finishers water bottles and long sleeve t-shirts (only S and XS available) which was disappointing
