The long route starts off with a lap around Lydden Hill race circuit before heading north towards Canterbury. From here, it's on to the Pilgrims Way towards Ashford and features the longest climb of the day of 3.8k at 3%.
After a quick stop at the feed station its onto a mix of back roads and bridleways towards Dover. With a mix of flat and rolling hills and short and sharp climbs, riders will get to experience the best that Kent has to offer. After a climb out of Dover the final 20k is rolling before a finish on the gravel circuit of Lydden Hill.

Elevation: 1200m
Percentage of Route Off Road: 40%
Mirroring the first 60k of the long route, riders can decide while out whether they want to continue onto the longer route or whether to head back to the race village with a more direct route. The section back to the finish from the split is on backroads with two short inclines before a finish on the gravel lap of Lydden Hill.

Mechanical issues
There will be mechanics at all aid stations and ride captains to also help with any bike issues.
Race Village
At the race village, there will be toilets coffee, cake, and lots of food trucks to try.
Feed stations
Feed stations will have water, coke, cake, fruit and sports nutrition bars and nut butter. They will be approximately every 30 kilometres.

What bike is recommended for the Kent Gravel Epic?
A gravel bike tyres with a little bit of tread above 35mm is recommended. A mtb will feel slow on some sections but will handle the course fine.
