Saturday - The Kielder Forest Epic
126k Elevation: 2300m 59k Elevation 1100m Route Type Loop
Kielder begins with 5k of flat terrain to get your legs moving. The flat terrain stops immediately, as you are thrown into the toughest climb of the day: a 6k ramp. The ramp has a small decent in the middle. The route loops back round to the ride village at 59k where the medium route finishes.
Riders taking the long route, have a lunch break before the second part of the day. Riders will round the reservoir and head south into the wilds of Northumberland. Next comes a fast finish back round Kielder Water.
Sunday - The Kielder Borders Epic
100k Elevation 2050m 59k Elevation 1350m
Unlike the flat start of the Kielder, The Borders Epic starts with two climbs in the first 12k on either side of the Scottish border. Next comes 30k of stunning Scottish landscape with hidden valleys and rolling hills, before hopping back into England.
Like the Saturday ride, this route loops back to Kielder after 59k where the medium route finishes and the long route has lunch before tackling another 40k.
The second section of the ride glides around Kielder Water before heading southwest and finishes with the flattest 20k of the weekend back to the finish.

Mechanical issues
There will be mechanics at all aid stations and ride captains to also help with any bike issues.
Bike hire
The organiser will have carbon gravel bikes available for hire from the race village.
Race Village
At the race village, there will be toilets coffee, cake, and lots of food trucks to try.
Feed stations
Feed stations will have water, coke, cake, fruit and sports nutrition bars and nut butter. They will be approximately every 30 kilometres.
