Good day and well organised however was not a half marathon. Only 12.5 miles everyone was asking each other at the end to make sure that it wasn’t there watch that was out but everyone said the same. They only had around 12.5/12.6 miles.

Great organisation and friendly atmosphere as usual from Grim Up North Running! I'm not convinced the course deserved the 5 boot 'grimmer than grim' rating as its a fairly straightforward race - largely flat & easy running on road & canal surfaces. the couple of more trail-y sections by the river and across fields also present no major challenges.Lovely setting at the Abbey start/finish. Lots of cake & a cool medal too!

Great race with mixed terrain. Lucky we had not had lots of rain this year so pretty dry.

A Great challenging race, canal part a bit boring but allows to gain some time back. Im always scared of tripping/falling so for me would only race this event in trail shoes. Plenty of water and jelly babies on the 8.8 route.

Great event. There is quite a lot of road in it for a trail race though
