Percentage of Route Off Road: 60%
The long route heads off from Keswick and heads east before a stunning 10k section ascending 500m. Views of Skiddaw will be panoramic as you skirt Bassenthwaite Lake and head back down to Keswick towards the fire roads of Cockermouth.
From here, riders will travel along smooth gravel tracks in Whinnlater Forest for 15k with just one big climb. The hard work will have paid off as you enjoy a fast and fun descent back to the ride village.
Percentage of Route Off Road: 55%
Medium route riders will head out with the long route up Skiddaw before cutting out at 23k along the backroads to Cockermouth before the final fell into Whinlatter Forest.
Percentage of Route Off Road: 65%
The short route takes in the second half of the long route, with the forest and backroads to Cockermouth before a big fell to get over in the Whinlatter Forest to get home.

There will be mechanics at all aid stations and ride captains to also help with any bike issues.
At the race village, there will be toilets coffee, cake, and lots of food trucks to try.
Feed stations will have water, coke, cake, fruit and sports nutrition bars and nut butter. They will be approximately every 30 kilometres.

Yes, there will be free parking onsite.
What happens if I have a mechanical problem with my bike at the Lake District Gravel Fella?
There will be mechanics at all feed stops to help you and ride captains along the route to offer support, make sure to bring a basic repair kit for small incidences.
What is the best bike for the Lake District Gravel Fella?
The route is mostly off-road, gravel bikes with 40mm tyres will be perfect, mountain bikes will also be good but will not be optimal for performance.
