Did the race in 2019
This was my first Marathon and certainly not an easy option but the breathtaking scenery and wide variety of terrain to cover kept me distracted from the tiredness in my legs. The uphill sections were frequent but never so long that they weren't manageable (with a fair bit of hiking). The course took us through some incredible places, the loop around Tarn Hows was gorgeous and I loved running through misty woodland when the cloud dropped down to meet us. I was surprised at how technical the terrain became towards the end of the run, some very tricky trails but adding to the overall experience. I would definitely do this event again but I just need a bit of a rest first.
