Route information

This course takes runners inside the stunning Roundhay Park. Travelling along paths within the park, runners will pass lakes, woodlands, and gardens to complete the route.

This will be a lapped route, will all runners following the same course.

5k - 1 lap
10k - 2 laps
Half Marathon - 4 laps

By Bus

There are buses to and from Leeds City Centre which run to the park, namely the number 2 & 12.

By Car

The park is located just 3 miles north of Leeds City Centre just off the A58 Wetherby Road. It is also accessible from the A6120 Leeds Ring Road.

Event day logistics

09:00 Half Marathon starts

11:00 10k starts

11:10 5k starts

*Please arrive at least 45 minutes before the start of the race to allow enough time to register, attach your race number, drop any bags you may have, and warm-up.

Race Pack

Race Packs must be collected on the day of the event, before the start of your race, from registration. Please be aware that you will not receive anything in the post.

Age Requirements

5k - 11 and older
10k - 15 and older
Half Marathon - 17 and older

Bag Drop

There will be a secure area where bags can be left, though it is recommended that you bring as little baggage as possible. Your bag tag is attached to your race number which you can tear off and attach to your bag.

Refreshments

There will be water stations at the 5k point of the race and at the finish where flapjacks and bananas will be waiting for finishers.

Toilets

There will be plenty of portable toilets available on-site.

Headphones

It is not recommended that you wear headphones during the race so you stay alert to what is going on around you and hear the encouragement from marshals and spectators. There will also be pedestrians on the paths you'll be running who you'll need to be aware of.

The start / finish village is very well arranged and was so welcoming to what were a few nervous faces. The warm up prior to the big start was really fun and the Marshalls throughout were excellent. Runthrough are just excellent and I look forward to many more events in the future with them.

I really enjoyed everything about my first half marathon but was saddened when I couldn’t find my finish line photo after looking multiple times online. I have also reached out to you twice only to be ignored. I know it’s only a photo but really wanted it as a keepsake. Amazing experience regardless.

I loved the run in the Roundhay park. It was organised well with bag drop, runner pack collection tents and water bottles along the run with some energy packs. I felt the atmosphere could have been a little more electric with some group activities before the start like the warm up we did like Mexican wave it shouting a slogan may be. But overall I loved the course and have booked the Chester run already with you guys. Thanks for inspiring me to run more. Miles to go before I sleep.

It would be good if it made it clearer what the elevation of the course was as I was expecting a flatter course. But loved the event and was a great training race for London marathon
