Race the setting sun on Prestwold Hall's motor circuit, around one of the country's longest airfields on the scenic grounds of the Prestwold Estate. The flat and fast course provides the perfect venue to chase your personal best in either the 5k, 10k or Move Mile.

Bring the family along to cheer you towards the finish line, or even race with you as children of all ages can run the well-marked and marshalled Mile.

The race is also wheelchair accessible.

Parking

There will be parking at the venue for all runners.

Event day logistics

18:30 10 Miles starts

18:45 Move Mile start

19:00 5k & 10k start

20:30 10 Mile cut-off

Please arrive at least 45 minutes before the race to ensure plenty of time to register.

Race Pack

Race Packs must be collected on the day of the event, before the start of your race, from registration. Please be aware that you will not receive anything in the post.

Age Requirements

Children of all ages can take part in the event, however anyone under 8 is encouraged to race in the Family mile, which takes place first. Any child under 5 is asked to run with a parent of guardian.

Buggies and Pushchairs

Buggies and pushchairs are allowed along the course, and those running with either are asked to start at the back of the course.

Is there an age cut-off for the kids at the Leicestershire Chase The Sun 5k, 10k & 10 Mile - August?

Children of all ages can run the Mile however anyone under the age of 8 is encouraged to race in the family Mile which will take place first. Any child under the age of 5yrs runs with a parent or guardian. Parents and guardians are welcome to run with push chairs and buggies, should you wish to, however they would need to start at the back of the field.

Will there be refreshments at the Leicestershire Chase the Sun 5k, 10k & 10 Mile - August?

There will be water provided at the 5k point of the race, and there will also be water available at the finish. Fruit and flapjacks will also be provided at the finish.

Will there be parking at the Leicestershire Chase the Sun 5k, 10k & 10 Mile - August?

Parking will be available for all runners.
